Our Story

In 2014, Sam and Angie traveled to Thailand on a scouting trip with a global anti–child trafficking organization. What they witnessed broke their hearts, and they knew God was calling them to lay down their life in America and bring their young family—four kids under eight—to serve on the front lines. Angie stepped into the role of International HR Director, gaining firsthand insight into leading and sustaining a nonprofit, while Sam trained rescue agents working to free exploited children. After five years on the ground, God led their family into a sabbatical where He met them with undeniable goodness, faithfulness, and presence—and they realized that all lasting work must begin with abiding in Him.

Then God called their family into a year-long sabbatical. In that sacred pause, He met them with overwhelming goodness, faithfulness, and presence. It was there they learned a truth that changed everything: all lasting work begins by abiding in Him. At His feet—through worship, prayer, and stillness—God accomplishes more than we ever could in our own strength.

Out of that revelation, The Seed: A House of Prayer was born. Because in the presence of Jesus, chains break, hearts heal, and lives are transformed.

Now, after twelve years in missions and revival in their own lives, Sam and Angie carry a burning conviction: every one of us needs revival. Not just programs. Not just activity. Revival—one heart at a time—in the presence of the One who restores all things.

SOAR exists for that purpose. To create safe spaces for workers, families, and communities to encounter Jesus. To equip hearts for healing. To call a nation to revival.

And through every story we tell, every message we send, and every life we touch, our prayer is the same: “Lord, let revival come—here, now, and in this generation.”
