Vision:

Generations redeemed

by the love of Christ

Mission: We believe prayer, worship, declaring the gospel and sharing our testimony will bring people to a life changing encounter with their God that will in turn redeem generations.

Our Values

Soar values the Presence of God and desires to establish a community in which the fullness of His Presence consistently manifests in the lives, homes, schools, businesses, and cities of those who serve in this house. The House of Prayer is a place to gather morning, noon, and night to minister to the heart of God, to receive God’s love, to hear God’s voice and then decree, prophesy, and pray those realities into the earth.

A core value for Soar is the “In and Out Lifestyle.” After “coming in” to encounter Him in the place of worship and prayer, we “go out” to share the love of God with the world. Whether it looks like anti-trafficking or outreach to the locals and/or the missionary community. This is an expression of loving the Lord with all our hearts and loving others as ourselves. “Coming In” refers to the habit of gathering with other believers throughout the week in the House of Prayer to corporately seek the LORD.

As we gather, worship is expressed through thanksgiving, praise, prayer, creativity and other means that focus our hearts on encountering Jesus. We believe that as we corporately worship and behold Him, we will be transformed by His Presence and more into His likeness. From this place of worship and transformation through hearing His voice, declaring His Word, and praying His heart, Heaven’s realities grow in our lives, circumstances, cities, and the nations..

Our Story

In 2014 Sam & Angie came to Thailand on a scouting trip with a large international organization that was combatting child sex trafficking all over the world. After their hearts breaking within for many years they knew God was asking them to lay down their lives in America and bring their family (then four kids under 8) to work and combat the evils of human trafficking. Angie became the international HR Director which gave her perspective and an understanding on what it takes to lead and run a nonprofit organization. Sam began helping with another anti trafficking organization helping to train the rescue agents that went in and rescued the kids that were being exploited. After five years of working on the ground the Platt family was called to take a year sabbatical where God blew their minds with his goodness, faithfulness and his presence! It was there that they realized any work that was to be done first had to come from a place of abiding in Him. At His feet, in worship and prayer more was going to be accomplished then us working in their own strength. So, the house of prayer was birthed, knowing that in His presence all shackles and chains come off is the answer!
